Name the governments in mid-east crises
The globalisation era presents small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with both a challenge and a threat. The threat is the growing competition from overseas while the challenge lies in the new opportunities opened before them. The course offered herewith will deal with these issues and dwell on advantages of comprehensive and integral support systems for SMEs. It will put special emphasis on increasing their competitive capabilities and export potential.

Designed for: decision makers; senior staff of central, regional and local governments; senior staff of export promotion institutions and banks; leaders of chambers of commerce and non-governmental economic and social associations (NGOs); leaders of SME support and promotion agencies and SME associations, as well as for trainers, business consultants and economists

Comprehensive Training for Development: Linking Vocational and Entrepreneurial Education - 25 day course with Amal Net - Amal Enrichment
Globalisation and free-market competition today present major challenges to societies seeking to foster sustainable human development and economic growth. These challenges are particularly intense when the objectives sought are employment creation, socio-economic empowerment of women and of youth, rural development and enhancement of the informal sector. The course will present a unique integrated approach linking vocational and technological training on one hand, and managerial and entrepreneurial training on the other.

Designed for: decision makers, senior staff of central, regional and local governments involved in vocational training and in promotion of SME; senior staff in regional and national vocational education systems; supervisors and directors of vocational training schools, entrepreneurial and SME support and promotion agencies; vocational training programmers and trainers; as well as for leaders of SMEs associations, business trainers and business consultants.

Financing of Small and Medium Enterprises - 16 day course
Micro, small and medium enterprises make up a worldwide sector of growing economic importance. Their development depends, in significant measure, on the activities, scope and approach of the many banks, private and public financial institutions and foundations that are engaged in financing these enterprises. A wide range of approaches exists regarding which methods and institutional frameworks can best provide appropriate resources for their growth. This course will examine these issues in depth, utilizing an approach based on comparative methodology that draws both on international and Israeli experiences.

Participants: Designed for up to twenty-five decision makers, senior staff of banks, lending and financing organization, leaders of non-governmental economic and social associations (NGOs), micro-credit unions, and other subject related organizations; as well as for leaders of SME associations, economists and business consultants.

The Promotion of Small and Medium High-Tech Enterprises and R&D Based Start-ups
Future sustainable development depends on the simultaneous growth of two economic pillars: that of the "old" traditional and that of the "new" Knowledge Based Economy. Entrepreneurs, small businesses and start-ups can make a significant contribution to this growth process, provided that they have available both financial and non-financial efficient support systems and sufficient measures. This course will present several successful support systems for industrial research and development, technological entrepreneurship, high-tech start-ups and SMEs in general, drawing on both Israeli and international experience.
